Nanocrystalline toroidal cores

Toroidal nanocrystalline cores

Nanocrystalline cores are made of strips with a crystal structure, the grains of which have sizes in the order of 20 nm. The nanocrystallization of the amorphous FeCuNbSiB tapes  takes place by processing the cores in a thermal or thermomagnetic field. Nanocrystalline tapes are soft magnetic materials with low magnetization loss. They are characterized by very favorable acoustic parameters due to low magnetostriction. They are used in the form of toroidal, oval and stackaged cores with a rectangular window. The core is protected by plastic casings, cups made of electrotechnical pressboard or insulating resin.

Applications:

  • current transformers,
  • high frequency transformers,
  • interference suppression chokes,
  • pulse transformers,
  • current transformers with high DC tolerance.

It is possible to produce nanocrystalline cores of standard size or acc. customer design.
